Grandma's Birthday - Round 2

Quick post after spending 10 hours at school. That is a lot of time to concentrate and learn. Oh well, worth it. Here is the inked version of my birthday card for Grandma. Check back later for the final painted version!

Grandma's Birthday - Round 1!

So, yesterday was my Grandmother's 80th birthday. I hadn't drawn her anything in a while (and she always enjoys my created gifts the best). I decided to create a birthday card for her. The idea came to me after a quick sketchbook doodle...you know the usual inspiration.

I went through a few clean up drawings and I came up with this finalized image. Here is a look at the final pencil rough:

Check back to see the inked version and again still to see the final painted version that I gave to her for her birthday!

Alphabet Cat

Here is another school project from last quarter. This was from my typography class. Our last project was open, meaning we could choose to do anything we wanted. It only needed to include typography in some way. I had originally thought of finishing a poster design that I started a few summers back. I opted to create a character design out of letters. I got the idea from a cat that I sketched in a sketchbook. As I looked at him, I could pick letters out for almost every shape. Here is a look at the final pencil rough.

Store is now open!

Welcome, our store is now open! I've never done a store before, so I figured I would see how it goes. I use Paypal, but if you are interested in another form of payment just email me and let me know. I'll be adding pieces into the store as we go, so continue to check in. Also, share the link with your friends!!

As for what is in the store now, I've got two pieces. They are 11x17 glossy prints, one of Stan "The Man" and the other is "Le Cookie Jar". If you purchase any art or if you have in the past, please send me a picture of where you placed it in your home. I want to create a Gallery with those pics! Check out the thumbnails here:
